Ideally located on the first heritage designated street in the country, Historica Riviera consists of two adjoining heritage buildings that front on Prince William and run down to Water Street. Prince William Street is arguably one of the most beautiful streets in Canada, while Water Street runs adjacent to the city’s waterfront.
Today, the Prince William Street ground floor is broken up into three tenant spaces. Currently, Piece O’Cake Custom Creations occupies 91 Prince William Street and Advantage Personnel is also located on the main level. All three tenants add considerably to the overall value of the area as they offer very unique and in demand high quality products and services. Famous Barbour Shop has taken up residence on the Water street level and promises to take men’s hair cuts from just another chore to a one of a kind, extraordinary experience.
In addition to the commercial businesses that have relocated uptown, the upper three levels of Historica Riviera have been converted to ultra modern residential suites, arguably the trendiest living spaces Saint John has to offer, a quality lifestyle unmatched in New Brunswick.
Built after the great fire in 1877, the buildings have been used predominantly as offices for the federal government and warehousing centres for soaps and detergent suppliers to the hotel industry. More recent tenants include: Toledo scales, Ganong Bros, and the Compu College which occupied the buildings from the early 1990’s until 2010.
